Members of the RCN are covered by a worldwide indemnity
insurance (known as malpractice insurance in the USA) so long as
full membership is maintained whilst abroad. It is important to
have indemnity insurance to ensure financial protection if legal
action is taken against professional practice.
Information relating to the RCN indemnity insurance
policy is available through the RCN offices and representatives.
Those practising in North America should consider taking out an
additional malpractice insurance policy. Detailed queries about
indemnity insurance should be sent to the RCN Legal Department.
